Pengaruh Kombinasi Larutan Irigasi terhadap Kebocoran Apikal pada Obturasi Saluran Akar menggunakan Siler Resin Epoksi dan Mineral Trioxide Aggregate

Abstract


The root canal treatment failure resulting from obturation stage wereunhermetic and cause apical leakage. The process of root canal treatment, the use of irrigation solution of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) or combined with ethylene diaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), or plus chlorhexidine (CHX) as a root canal disinfection can cause changes in the condition of dentin and affects the
attachment material sealer. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of NaOCl irrigation solution;the combination ofNaOCl and EDTA irrigation;the combination ofNaOCl, EDTA and CHX against apical leakage in the apical root canal obturation using material sealer of epoxy resin and MTA with a color penetration test method.  

The subjects are 24 premolars mandibular single root, decoronated and leaving a cut length of 14 mm from the apical teeth. All teeth are treated root canal preparation, with crown-down technique using ProTaper rotary files up to file F3. Subjects were divided into 3 treatment groups irrigation Group I: NaOCl irrigation, Group II: irrigation of NaOCl+EDTA, Group III: irigationof NaOCl+EDTA+CHX. Each group of irrigation divided into 2 treatment groupsobturation with Group A: obturation with epoxy resin sealer and Group B: MTA sealerobturation. The whole subject of research were incubated for 24 hours, and thereafter be stained with methylene blue solution. The whole subject of research is cut parallel to the longitudinal axis and observed under a stereo microscope with a magnification of 50x. The deepest penetration of the dye solution coming from the apical foramen are observed.

Two way ANOVA and Post Hoc LSD are used to processing data in this study. Two way ANOVA showed that the combination of irrigation solution affect the leakage in the apical root canal obturation using epoxy resin sealer and MTA. LSD test results showed that there were differences between all groups combined irrigation solution. The conclusion of this study are: there is an effect of combinated irrigation solution in the apical leakage on obturation withsealer material of epoxy resin and mineral trioxide aggregate.  There is an interaction of a combination of irrigation solution to the apical leakage using sealer material.
