Abstract
Temprorary filling use in dentistry for short-term use over time during treatment, for example in root canal treatment. Temporary filling proper use of the success of root canal treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in
microleakage temporary filling based resin, calcium sulfate and zinc oxide eugenol.
In this experiment, use 14 premolar. Teeth were divided into 3 groups based temporary filling. Group I is the tooth of filled with temporary filling based resin, the second group of filled teeth with temporary filling calsium sulfate-based and group III of filled teeth with temporary filling zink oxide eugenol-based. Leak test using methylene blue solution 2%. Observations microleakage done using a stereo microscope 30 and 100x magnifications. Leaks in this study sample revealed the presencce of methylene blue penetration among temporary filling material and cavity walls.
The resulting data is ordinal data and analyzed using Kruskal Wallis test followed by Mann Whitney U test. Kruskal Wallis test result indicate that there are significant differences in microleakage between the three temporary filling while obtained p=0.000 (p<0,05). Mann Whitney U test result there differences in microleakage between the three temporary filling, filing-based resin while the lowest microleakage, then zinc oxide eugenol-based temporary micro highest leakage.
