Pengaruh Lama Penyinaran Terhadap Kebocoran Mikro Restorasi Resin Komposit Bulk Fill

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of light curing exposure time (10, 20 and 40 sec) on microleakage of bulk fill resin composite. 

Twenty one molar teeth were made class I cavity preparation with the diameter of 1,8 mm and 4 mm depth.   The application of self etch adhesive and bulk fill resin composite 4 mm were used for all samples.  Samples were divided into 3 groups of each: group I (activated by the light curing for 10 sec), group II (activated by the light curing 20 sec) and group III (activated by the light curing 40 sec). All samples were coated using nail polish and immersed in 2% methylene blue. Afterwards all samples were sectioned and observed for microleakage using stereo microscope at 100X magnification and were evaluated by scoring.   Data that  were analyzed using Kruskal Wallis and U-Mann Whitney test (p<0,05) with 95% confidence level.   

The result of this study showed that the duration of light curing influence the mikroleakage of bulk fill resin composite. Analysis demonstrated that group I had smaller microleakage significantly than group II as well as  group  III (p< 0,05).   Group II and III did not reveal a significant difference (p> 0,05).  The conclusion of this study, the exposure time of light curing influenced the microleakage of  bulk fill resin composite. The exposure time of light curing for 10 sec had smallest microleakage than for 20 sec and 40 sec.
