HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERUBAHAN SUDUT BIDANG OKLUSAL TERHADAP PERUBAHAN TINGGI WAJAH ANTERIOR PADA MALOKLUSI ANGLE KLAS II DIVISI 1 SETELAH PERAWATAN ORTODONTI DENGAN TEKNIK BEGG

Abstract

Begg  techniques specifi c for treating class II division 1 malocclusion and will increase in the occlusal
plane angle, this is a result of the rotation of the mandible downward and backward and bite opening on phase
1 due to the use of class II elastic inter maxilla and will be increased the anterior facial height. Changes
in anterior facial height showed a reaction of mandible. The purpose on this study aims to determine the
relationship between the occlusal plane angle with anterior facial height on malocclusion Angle class II
division 1 after orthodontic treatment with the Begg technique. These Research are cross sectional analytic.
These subjects were 21  chepalogram craniofacial orthodontic treatment with the criteria. Variable on this
study are the occlusal plane angle changes and anterior facial height changes in classifi cation Angle class
II division 1. Data collection were analyzed by product moment Pearson analysis, and correlation analysis.

Statistical test of this study that there is signifi cant correlation between changes in the occlusal plane angle
with anterior facial height on Angle Malocclusion Class II division 1 before and after treatment with the Begg
technique with p < 0.05.
