Abstract


Several changes in government policy regarding national health insurance will result in positive and negative perspectives from the community. This study aimed to determine the community's perspective on increased JKN contributions for independent participants. This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional design where the location in first-level health facilities in Padang City, namely Puskesmas, Clinics, and Midwife Practices. The population is JKN independent participants in Padang City, with a sample of 100 people selected by purposive sampling. Data were obtained by interview using a questionnaire. The independent variables include income, JKN class, and the dependent variable's knowledge of increasing contribution. Data analysis with Chi-Square test. The results showed that most respondents stated a perspective with an increase in the amount of JKN contributions. The most significant perspective was in the adult group, and the negative was high. And respondents who are in class III. This JKN contribution policy creates a negative public perspective on this policy. There is a significant relationship between income, JKN class, and the prospect of increasing JKN contributions. The need for a review in identifying family income for the JKN payment class.
