Nur ‘Wucha’ Wulan Dari She is a filmmaker and an Anthropologist. Through her films and
research, she advocates for issues related to the roles and rights of girls, young women, and
climate issues. Wucha was selected for the See Me, Hear Me program funded by the Australian
Awards Fellowship DFAT and won the Best Film award at the ReelOzine Film Festival 2018, in
Melbourne for her documentary film. Her new fiction film, ‘Laila’ official selection at Sea Short
(Malaysia) and Regard Bleu (Switzerland) Film Festival. As the founder of www.semaya.id, she
and friends develop her organization focuses on exploring research methods through audiovisual
media, with particular attention to socio-cultural issues. She involve as a one of researcher
project Cultivating Futures: Exploring Alternative Education in Indonesia conducted by Gadjah
Mada University and ISEK. Latest, she presented her research in Anthropology department
(ISEK) at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
