Komodifikasi Kepercayaan Lokal: Negosiasi Ekonomi dan Ruang Sakral berbasis Pariwisata di Minahasa, Indonesia

Abstract
Expansi industri pariwisata ke dalam ruang sakral telah memunculkan pertanyaan mengenai kemungkinan desakralisasi atau transformasi sakralitas dari ruang-ruang tersebut. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi perjumpaan ruang sakral tempat pariwisata Padies Kimuwu di Minahasa yang mengakibatkan pergeseran makna kepercayaan lokal. Wisata Padies Kimuwu merupakan lokasi tempat kepercayaan lokal atau ruang sakral penghayat Minahasa yang dipromosikan melalui aktivitas ekonomi. Penghayat kepercayaan lokal Minahasa menerima aktivitas ekonomi yang dijalankan oleh pemodal untuk bisa memperoleh nilai materi dan dapat memperkenalkan kultur kepercayaan lokal kepada publik atau masyarakat luas. Akan tetapi, penghayat harus menghadapi kenyataan bahwa ruang sakral mereka akan bersentuhan dengan kepentingan ekonomi: pemilik modal dan wisatawan/konsumen atau orang luar. Dengan berfokus pada komodifikasi ruang sakral berbasis pariwisata lokal, penelitian ini menjelaskan alasan mengapa penghayat kepercayaan lokal Minahasa menerima pariwisata di ruang sakral Padies Kimuwu. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis dampak pertemuan ruang sakral dan komodifikasi kepercayaan lokal pada tempat pariwisata di Padies Kimuwu. Penelitian ini berbasis pada metode kualitatif dan pendekatan etnografi realis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi pustaka. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa komodifikasi ruang sakral dapat terjadi melalui proses negosiasi antara pihak religius (penghayat) dan investor (pemilik modal) yang menghasilkan paradigma baru terhadap ruang sakral, awalnya eksklusif bergeser menjadi inklusif
