Most PWDs live in vulnerable conditions, facing economic challenges that impact their health and well-being. Caring for PWDs can lead to stress and difficulties for their families, ultimately affecting both general and mental health. Health maintenance for PWDs and their families is crucial.

Objective: This community service aims to raise awareness about the importance of continuous health care for PWDs and their families.

Methods: The program involves screening for common disorders among PWDs, followed by muscle stretching therapy for those with motor impairments. Additionally, direct education and training, including videos and leaflets, are provided to PWD families. Health counseling, general health screening, and mental health assessment using questionnaires are conducted for PWDs, their families, and the surrounding community.

Main Findings: Screening results indicate that common issues among PWDs often involve movement disorders, necessitating regular muscle stretching. General health screening reveals an overall decline in the health of families with PWDs. PWDs, their families, and the community tend to experience psychological stress.

Conclusion: Providing muscle stretching training to PWD families enhances continuity in maintaining and improving PWDs’ muscle function, as exercises can be performed more intensively at home with family support. Sustainable social, academic, governmental, and healthcare institution support is essential for monitoring and maintaining the physical and mental health of PWDs, their families, and the community.

Keywords:
2026-01-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/JILD/article/view/16177PELATIHAN DAN LOKAKARYA TEKNIK DASAR “PUBLIC SPEAKING”, “CONTENT WRITING”, “VIDEO TAKING” DAN “EDITING” DI SANGGAR ANAK ALAM (SALAM), BANTUL, DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA 2026-02-02T11:21:12+07:00Budiawan Budiawambudiawan4@ugm.ac.id
As a part of a series of community service programs in Sanggar Anak Alam (Salam), Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Province from July to October 2023, Media and Cultural Studies Program Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada has organized various training and workshops dealing with vocational and technical skills, in addition to facilitating the making of digital-based education platform as written by Ratna Noviani et.al. The training and workshops include the basic skills of “public speaking”, “content writing”, “video taking” and “editing”. By adopting a method oriented to the interests of the participants, the participants were encouraged to participate as actively as possible in those training and workshops. As this community service is not designed for middle nor long term, the evaluation which we can do is only based on what the participants demonstrate in the final session of each training and workshop. Over all the series of training and workshops on technical and vocational skills supporting the learning method in Salam have brought positive impacts for the participants. At least basic knowledge and skills on “public speaking”, “content writing”, “video taking” and “editing” have been internalised by the participants, as they have demonstrated in final session of every training and workshop.
2026-01-29T14:46:01+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Inovasi Lintas Disiplinhttps://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/JILD/article/view/17765Peran PkM dalam Peningkatan Kesadaran Masyarakat Tentang Perubahan Iklim dan Memanfaatkan Potensi Padukuhan Nayan yang Berkelanjutan2026-02-04T08:01:02+07:00Sulaimanmuhammad.sulaiman@ugm.ac.id
Climate change is a critical issue that threatens the sustainability of ecosystems and human well-being. This article discusses the results of Community Service in Padukuhan Nayan, which focuses on increasing community understanding of the impacts of climate change and implementing adaptation measures to reduce the risks posed. This effort was realized through the collaboration of various parties, including educational institutions, government, and local communities. The program includes several main initiatives, including the Padukuhan competition, the Kali Bersih Program (Prokasih), and a community-based waste management system. Through Prokasih, residents are educated on the importance of keeping the river clean, a vital part of the surrounding ecosystem, to reduce pollution and improve water quality. In addition, community-based waste management was introduced to reduce household waste going to landfills by promoting sorting organic and inorganic waste and recycling waste that still has use value. The results of this PkM showed increased environmental awareness in Nayan residents. For example, residents began to utilize organic waste for compost and reduce dependence on single-use plastics. These efforts also impact achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in managing clean water resources and health and reducing environmental impacts. In conclusion, the collaboration between parties in this PkM activity shows that climate change awareness and adaptation actions at the community level can be achieved through education and active community involvement. This collaborative model can be an example for other regions to implement similar strategies to face future climate change challenges.
2026-01-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Inovasi Lintas Disiplinhttps://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/JILD/article/view/17726Pendampingan Pemanfaatan Rumah Dataku dengan Mainstreaming Gender untuk Perencanaan Program Pemberdayaan Perempuan di Gunungkidul2026-02-02T11:23:44+07:00Sri Rahayu Budianisrahayu@ugm.ac.id
Rumah Dataku is a data and information center to support community-based program planning. However, often the available data and the analysis patterns carried out do not pay attention to gender aspects, so that the programs designed are less responsive to women's needs. This article aims to analyze assistance efforts in utilizing Rumah Dataku by prioritizing gender mainstreaming. This article uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in Gunungkidul Regency which has implemented Rumah Dataku. The results show that effective assistance in the use of gender-based data can improve the quality of program planning that supports women's empowerment. The assistance provided involves training in collecting gender sensitive data, analyzing gender data, and preparing policy recommendations that support women. The recommendation from this research is the need to increase the capacity of data managers and local stakeholders in understanding and applying the principles of women's empowerment at every stage of program planning.
2026-01-29T14:49:44+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Inovasi Lintas Disiplinhttps://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/JILD/article/view/17755PEMETAAN JALUR WISATA DAN BENGKEL PEMBUATAN KONTEN UNTUK PROMOSI DESA WISATA DI KALURAHAN MARGODADI, KAPANEWON SEYEGAN, SLEMAN, DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA2026-02-02T11:25:00+07:00Ratna Novianiratna.noviani@ugm.ac.id
The promotion of tourism villages is a key factor in attracting potential tourists to visit these villages as tourist destinations. The Master's Study Program of Media and Cultural Studies, the Graduate School, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conducted programs of tourism routes mapping and a content creation workshop for digital promotional media in the Tourism Village of Margodadi, Seyegan, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The mapping of tourism routes aims to increase the attractiveness of these tourism villages and expand the target market for potential tourists. The information related to the tourism routes needs to be promoted and circulated through various digital media platforms, especially social media such as Instagram, which is already being used by the tourism villages at Margodadi. The content creation workshop aims to provide insights and skills for the staff of the tourism villages to optimize audio-visual potential in promoting their villages as tourist destinations, adjusting the content to the specific characteristics of each digital platform. The tourism route mapping and content creation workshop aims to enable the tourism villages at Margodadi to independently develop promotional content that is increasingly informative, attractive, and capable of engaging the potential tourists they aim to target. By doing so, the villages can increase their visibility and popularity across digital platforms and, in turn, can increase the number of visitors to the tourism villages.
2026-01-29T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Inovasi Lintas Disiplin
