Author Guidelines
General Author Guidelines
- Manuscript(s) had never been published in other publication and do not contain plagiarism (will be screened by Turnitin)
- The manuscript that has been written under the guidelines of Diplomatika: Jurnal Kearsipan Terapan (in MS Word format, use this article template) must be submitted through Online Submission System using Open Journal System (OJS) on the Diplomatika: Jurnal Kearsipan Terapan E-journal portal (https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/v3/diplomatika) choose only one procedure. Then, register as one of the author or reviewer in the “Register” bottom
- Manuscript(s) can be original research, conceptual and theoretical applications, literature studies, or seminar results in records and information studies or archives and cultural heritage studies
- The manuscript article writing guidelines and template can be downloaded. The template and the guidelines of the article writing are available in MS Word (.doc) format
- The manuscript which is inappropriate with the Diplomatika: Jurnal Kearsipan Terapan writing guidelines will be returned to the author before the reviewing process
- Manuscript(s) can be written in Indonesian or English for 15-25 pages including bibliography, photos, figures/diagrams and tables, on A4 paper with top and left margins of 4 cm, bottom and right margins of 3 cm. Manuscript(s) are written using Times New Roman font, 12pt, and 1.5 spacing
- The manuscript(s) contains the author's name, if the article is in the group, the first name must be based on the agreement of all authors. Author's name is in bold Times New Roman font, 11pt
- Manuscript(s) must be accompanied by the author's address including: Name of the author's institution and email address, using Times New Roman, 12pt font size
Manuscript Body Text Guidelines
- Manuscript(s) must be accompanied by INTISARI and ABSTRACT in 150-300 words in one paragraph, using Times New Roman 12pt font size, 1 space. The word ABSTRACT and INTISARI are using capital letters, Times New Roman 12 font size, bold and italic for English. The keywords (ABSTRACT) or kata kunci (INTISARI) must be each 3-5 words arranged alphabetically with 1 space, using capital letters at the beginning of words, Times New Roman, 12pt font size, and bold. For the word Keywords, please write them using capital letters at the beginning of the word, Times New Roman, font size 12pt, bold and italic.
- The manuscript(s) should consist(s) of PENDAHULUAN (INTRODUCTION), METODE PENELITIAN (RESEARCH METHOD), HASIL DAN PEMBAHASAN (FINDING AND DISCUSSION), and SIMPULAN (CONCLUSION)
- PENDAHULUAN (INTRODUCTION). This section describes the purpose(s) of the study and should be relating to the context of archival issues that should be discussed. The introduction also contains relevant theory related to archival science and records and information studies. This also should contain a discussion of previous studies that are relevant to the issue, and identify and clearly describe gaps or areas that require further research. The problematizes of research can be in research question(s) or proposition(s). The introduction section is written in Times New Roman font, size 12 with 1.5 spacing. The title of PENDAHULUAN (INTRODUCTION) is written in Times New Roman capital letters, font size 12 and bold with Heading 1
- METODE PENELITIAN (RESEARCH METHOD). This section contains a description of the research design (e.g. case study, narrative, survey, experiment etc.), data collecting technique, and data analysis technique. The author(s) should describe the reason(s) in selecting their research design. The author(s) should also describe the data collecting (e.g surveys, interviews, observations) and data analysis techniques as detail as possible, especially about the informant(s) or sample characteristics. This section should be written in Times New Roman font, font size 12 and 1.5 spacing
- HASIL DAN PEMBAHASAN (FINDING AND DISCUSSION). In this section, the author(s) presents the findings based on data collecting and analysis. Authors may present the data in tables, figures, charts, graphs, or other visual aids to illustrate the findings.The authors should interpret the finding(s) with the concepts in archival science or records and information studies and discuss them with the previous research. The author(s) should consider the limitations of the study and potential bias. Please, write them in Times New Roman font, font size 12 and 1.5 spacing.
- KESIMPULAN (CONCLUSION). This section is a summary of finding and discussion sections. The author(s) should describe the insight(s) of their research, including practical implications and academic contributions for archival science or records and information studies. Please remember that this part does not repeat what has been discussed in the results section. The title is typed in Times New Roman font, font size 12 with 1.5 spacing
- References must be cited in the manuscript(s), following the APA 7th citation style and mandatory use of a reference management such as Mendeley or Zotero. References are composed of books and scientific journals (written alphabetically by author), regulation(s) and standard(s) (are written based on the highest hierarchies), internet sources, and also archival document(s). Please remember that for book and journal citation is at least from last 10-year publication.
- If the research is supported by certain funding, the author(s) is allowed to add acknowledgement in the article text.
