[Update on April 21th, 2026]

1. As of April 4th, 2025, JCEF has been officially indexed in Scopus (Q4). Looking ahead, we aim to reach the top 25% of journals (Q1) by the end of 2026.
2. JCEF is now listed in Scimago Journal Rankings with SJR 2025: 0.153 (Q4) and H-Index: 3. View our Scimago profile here.
3. JCEF has been conferred SINTA1 accreditation, the highest national accreditation, according to the official decree of the Director General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Republic of Indonesia (No. 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, dated March 21st, 2025).
4. We introduce a new system for immediate online publication (Online First). We ensure that all articles are accessible as soon as the production process is completed, without waiting for the entire volume publication.
5. JCEF is implementing new policies about the handling process, editing, and proofreading (click here).
6. We reemphasize that JCEF uses a double-blind peer review process. We do not offer fast-track reviews, do not charge fees, and cannot guarantee acceptance or publication by a specific date. The timeline depends on the review process and how promptly authors respond. However, we strive to complete reviews within our stated timeframes.
7. In our pursuit of higher content quality, we encourage authors to submit manuscripts of intermediate length (5000-6000 words for original articles) that uphold clarity and conciseness.
8. We invite applications for Editorial Board membership and Guest Editorships. We also welcomes collaboration on Special Issues based on academic conferences.

Journal of the Civil Engineering Forum

Journal of the Civil Engineering Forum (JCEF) was formerly known as Forum Teknik Sipil (1992-2006) publishes double-blind peer-reviewed articles in Civil and Environmental Engineering advancing sustainable infrastructure development and innovative civil engineering solutions for disaster resilience.
JCEF welcomes articles in the form of research articles, review articles, technical notes, and editorial notes. There is no article processing charge (no fee) applied to any published article. It is a four-monthly journal, open-access and published by Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Journal Statistics

Article Submission

JCEF article submission requires registration and login to submit articles online and to check the status of current submissions. Articles should be provided in electronic form and uploaded to our online submission site. Articles submitted by any other means are automatically discarded.
