Gap Analysis of The Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka Policy in Islamic State Higher Education Institutions a Case Study at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta
Abstract
Higher education as an institution that has a strategic role as a center of academic excellence is expected to be able to provide quality education. Various efforts have been made, one of which is the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. This policy is implemented as a whole, including UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as an institution under the auspices of the State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) in this case the Ministry of Religion. The purpose of the study is to measure satisfaction, the level of gap between reality and expectations and institutional readiness. The research method used is a mixed research method (mix methods) with a sequential explanatory design approach. The data collection method was carried out by distributing questionnaires to students and conducting interviews with policy makers. The research respondents consisted of 97 students in 12 faculties, 38 study programs and 3 scientific clumps as well as policy makers. The results showed that service quality at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is still unsatisfactory in meeting the needs of students. This is proven by the low average value of service satisfaction which is 2.92 with an average value of gap of -1.42 which is caused by the readiness of the institution in adapting policies and the lack of support provided by the Ministry of Religion regarding the implementation of policies in State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN)
