This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method in controlling the inventory of spare parts for the XCMG XE490DK excavator service unit at PT Multi Usaha Tambang. With a focus on implementing EOQ on several sample spare parts, such as Oil Engine Gulf Super Duty Vle 15W-40 CL-4, Oil Filter LF9080, Fuel Filter/Water Separator FS19763, and Fuel Filter FS1000, this research found significant results. The research results indicate that the application of the EOQ method at PT. Multi Usaha Tambang is able to determine the optimal order quantity, optimal order frequency, optimal safety stock, and optimal reorder point for each spare part sample. More importantly, the EOQ method has been proven to be significantly more advantageous, with its ability to save inventory costs by up to 92.10%. These findings contribute positively to the operational efficiency and profitability of PT. Multi Usaha Tambang. The implementation of this research highlights the importance of applying the EOQ method in managing spare parts inventory, especially for the XCMG XE490DK excavator unit. This study provides a strong basis to recommend the EOQ method as an effective approach in optimizing inventory control and substantial cost savings.
Sechar Nurul Fadillah Surojo Surojo Copyright (c) 2024 Author https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-01 2024-08-01 1 2 01 11 10.22146/jtrab.v1i2.12541 Swing Motion Obstacle Detection Warning System Design In a Swing Area Based on Arduino Uno Using Ultrasonic Sensors for Excavator https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/jtrab/article/view/11917
Occupational health and safety, especially in heavy equipment projects, is very important to avoid work accidents. In the field of construction and mining, work accidents that are often experienced are usually run over, and hit. Most of these accidents are caused by operator or human negligence factors, as well as factors from machines or tools. On the hydraulic excavator there is a swing movement, this movement has the potential to cause work accidents such as hitting an object in the swing area because the object is in blind spots that cannot be measured and seen by the operator. In this study, the authors designed a tool that functions as a warning system and monitoring for detecting swing motion obstacles in the swing area to avoid the accident, while testing the performance of the system that has been created. The design of this tool uses an ultrasonic sensor HC SR-04 which is able to detect an object with ultrasonic waves, LCD 1602 as a monitoring tool for the distance between the sensor and the object that blocks the swing motion, and with the addition of a buzzer as a warning system that will sound at a certain distance. Thus the operator can anticipate if there are objects that block the swing motion. The overall test results of the system that has been created show that the front section obtained a test success rate of 84% with a standard deviation of 0.3116, and the back section obtained a test success rate of 86% with a standard deviation of 0.2916.
Herbudi Bagas Anyuca Andhi Akhmad Ismail Copyright (c) 2024 Authors https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-16 2024-08-16 1 2 12 16 10.22146/jtrab.v1i2.11917 Hydraulic System Design of Vertical Type Plastic Waste Baling Machine with 1000 kg Capacity https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/jtrab/article/view/11792
Waste is an ongoing environmental issue, escalating with the increasing human population on Earth. Plastic waste, commonly found in Temporary Storage Places (TPS) for waste, poses a significant concern. In the Condongcatur area, one TPS produces waste with a daily volume of 1022 m3, consisting of 52% plastic waste. The percentage of plastic waste can be calculated using the density of PET at 1.35 gr/cm3, resulting in a daily mass of approximately 717 kg.

To solve this problem, a vertical hydraulic press machine with a capacity of 1000 kg has been designed. The 1000 kg capacity press machine utilizes a hydraulic cylinder with CHSG (SMC) specifications, featuring a bore diameter of 40 mm, rod diameter of 22 mm, and an 800 mm stroke. The calculated working pressure is 93 bar, necessitating a hydraulic pump with a capacity of 6.62 CC/REV, a hydraulic motor with a power capacity of 1.5 KW or 2 HP, and a full load speed of 1400 rpm. The required hydraulic tank capacity is a minimum of 8 liters, ensuring the smooth operation of the entire system. This press machine effectively compacts plastic waste, saving space, and facilitating the recycling process.
Antonius David Sanjaya Sugiyanto Sugiyanto Soeadgihardo Siswantoro Setyawan Bekti Wibowo Copyright (c) 2024 Authors https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-16 2024-08-16 1 2 17 22 10.22146/jtrab.v1i2.11792 Fuel System Risk Analysis on Low Power Engine Performance Case in Asphalt Finisher Unit at PT. PP Presisi https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/jtrab/article/view/11051
The fuel system plays an important role in the BOMAG BF 800 C Asphalt Finisher unit operating in road paving work. The engine performance of the BOMAG BF 800 C Asphalt Finisher unit will decrease if no fuel system is checked immediately. The purpose of this study is to analyze the fuel system that causes low power engine performance in the BOMAG BF 800 C Asphalt Finisher unit. The method used to solve these problems is a qualitative method using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) analysis and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) as well as quantitative methods by calculating the mean time to failure (MTTF) and mean time to repair (MTTR) in accordance with the track record of using and repairing the BOMAG BF 800 C Asphalt Finisher unit. Based on the results of research that has been done, it is stated that the RPN value of the fuel injector is 324 and the fuel filter is 168. This calculation makes these components the most critical components in the case of low power engine performance. The specified maintenance activity interval on the fuel injector is 84 hours and the fuel filter is 35 hours.
Reza Ananda Widada Braam Delfian Prihadianto Setyawan Bekti Wibowo Harjono Harjono Copyright (c) 2024 Authors https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-16 2024-08-16 1 2 23 29 10.22146/jtrab.v1i2.11051 Analysis of Consumable Goods Dotting Gloves Inventory Management using Buffer Stock and Reorder Point Methods https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/jtrab/article/view/13267
This research aims to optimize consumable goods inventory control for dotting gloves items in a heavy equipment company. The inventory control process uses mathematical calculation methods, namely additional inventory (buffer stock) and reorder points as well as designing a web-based inventory application system. The research results showed that stock outs occurred repeatedly for dotting gloves. In 2023, the initial inventory of this item will be out of stock for 4 months. The frequency of purchasing dotting gloves is relatively small, only done twice in 5 months. After calculating the buffer stock and reorder point, the company is advised to place a reorder when the stock of dotting gloves reaches 83 pairs or 7 dozen to maintain the continuity of the company's operations. Next, a web-based inventory management application was created to automatically detect reorder points on dotting glove items.
Achmad Fikry Sugiyanto Sugiyanto Nyayu Aisyah Braam Delfian Prihadianto Copyright (c) 2024 Authors https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-16 2024-08-16 1 2 30 35 10.22146/jtrab.v1i2.13267
