Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through an online survey involving 103 respondents and subsequently analysed using multiple linear regression to test the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The results showed that the regression model had a high correlation (R=0.814; R^2=0.663), with indications that cognitive insights about childfree (β=0.279; p=0.002) and financial allocation considerations (β=0.283; p=0.008) significantly influence social acceptance of the childfree choice. Interestingly, normative religiosity, measured by worship intensity, did not show a significant influence in this model. This key finding indicates that Muslim Generation Z tends to evaluate the issue of childfree through rational cognitive and economic considerations, rather than solely based on religious-normative values. This study reflects a shift in values among Generation Z from a traditional orientation towards a more reflective and pragmatic way of thinking in defining the concepts of family, responsibility, and personal happiness.

Keywoards: childfree, economic factors, Generation Z, education, religiosity.
Revita Anindya Lestari, Dzufikar Nasriyan Fadhilah, Dea Triyani, Kristina Nurdiyani, Yusuf Apdilah, Muhamad Parhan Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Wanita dan Keluarga https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/26250 Wed, 10 Dec 2025 09:36:05 +0700 Education on the Rights and Obligations of Husbands and Wives A Study of Kalis Mardiasih on Instagram https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/23468
According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the divorce rate in Indonesia is increasing every year. One of the factors for the high divorce rate in Indonesia is the lack of knowledge about the education of the rights and obligations of husband and wife in the household. In the Qur'an, marriage has the aim of forming a sakinah mawaddah warahmah household. One way to build it is by maintaining the rights and obligations of each member of the household. The purpose of the study is to explain the education of the rights and obligations of husband and wife in Kalis Mardiasih's perspective from Instagram posts. The method used is a qualitative type of literature (Literature Research), in using this method descriptive analytical is used as a data analysis technique. Meanwhile, the primary data presented are Kalis Mardiasih's posts about the rights and obligations of husband and wife and secondary data obtained from books, articles, and websites. The result is that there are three posts that the author analyzes. The first post, is that a wife, must have the right to get good treatment from her husband, and respect and respect for the wife's decisions. The second post, the pillar of a healthy relationship is the presence of mutual respect, namely education for mutual respect, and trust in husbands and wives. The third post, is about the importance of education on the rights and obligations of wives for the realization of mutual respect. Likewise, the husband's obligation to provide for his wife. A wife must get physical and mental sustenance. This statement can expand knowledge about the rights and obligations of husband and wife to respect, appreciate, and trust each other.
Sofwatun Nida, Raisa Zuhra Salsabila Awaluddin; Desy Anggraini Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Wanita dan Keluarga https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/23468 Wed, 10 Dec 2025 09:56:09 +0700 Sexual Scapegoating dalam Film L’Anatomie d’Une Chute (2023) Karya Justine Triet https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/25903
The aim of this study is to explore the practice of scapegoating directed at individuals with minority sexual orientations, through collective accusations produced by characters in the film L’Anatomie d’Une Chute by Justine Triet. Scapegoating is a social mechanism that blames others to relieve collective tension. This practice emerges in the interaction between the female protagonist and both power structures and the public. The film tells the story of Sandra Voyter, accused of murdering her husband, Samuel. Sandra’s identity, perceived as part of a minority group (bisexual), influences how the public and prosecutors assess her during the trial. As a result, she is positioned as the scapegoat for the conflict. This study employs René Girard’s perspective to examine the scapegoating mechanism experienced by the main character. The film is analyzed using narrative content analysis, with the material object being L’Anatomie d’Une Chute. The data corpus consists of scenes and dialogues related to the scapegoating mechanism, analyzed using Girard’s theory. The findings reveal aspects that manifest the mechanism toward the main character: sexual orientation, her identity as an immigrant, and her status as a wife whose achievements surpass her husband’s. These three aspects trigger scapegoating and othering of the female character.
Putu Tanaya Elysia Suastika, Wening Udasmoro Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Wanita dan Keluarga https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/25903 Wed, 10 Dec 2025 09:57:49 +0700 Efektivitas Intervensi Sosial-Religius dan Budaya terhadap Kesehatan Mental, Fisik, dan Kognitif Lansia https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/26584
Mental health in the elderly requires prioritization. The research is motivated by the phenomenon of dowry which currently often becomes a source of economic problems and domestic violence, differing from its original function as a form of women's protection as recorded in the Code of Hammurabi (1792-1750 BC). The absence of clear standards in determining dowry value, especially in oral cultures, often results in value determinations that exceed couples' economic capabilities. Utilizing a literature review method by analyzing various literary sources from ancient civilizations such as Babylonia, Egypt, and Indus, as well as studies of patriarchal culture in Indonesia, this research aims to identify whether dowry still functions as a form of women's protection or has undergone manipulation due to social changes. The findings of this research indicate that there has been a shift in the function and meaning of dowry itself, ranging from changes in scope of use, changes in dowry forms, and changes in understanding due to limited cultural education and customary practices.
Defrida Suzana Lukuaka Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Wanita dan Keluarga https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/25194 Wed, 10 Dec 2025 10:23:00 +0700 Gender dan Culture: Studi Non-Diferensiasi terhadap Peran Perempuan Bugis dalam Perspektif Sejarah https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/23666
This study examines the role of women in Bugis society through a historical approach using a literature review method, with a focus on the concept of gender non-differentiation within the Bugis social structure. The spatial scope of this research is South Sulawesi, where the majority of the Bugis people reside. The study concludes that in certain areas, Bugis women have historically held positions equal to men. This is reflected in their involvement in public spaces, decision-making processes, and even in their roles as rulers (Datu’). This non-differentiation or equality did not emerge as a result of external coercion, but rather from a collective awareness of the importance of women’s roles as part of society. As such, Bugis women are not only seen as members of society but also as symbols or indicators of fortune and as representations of their family's social status. The findings of this study show that the values of women's emancipation in Indonesia are diverse and context-dependent. In the case of Bugis women, gender non-differentiation has existed even since the emergence of the epic I La Galigo. Therefore, this study reinforces the understanding that women’s roles in social life are part of a cultural heritage, not merely a demand of modernity.
Fadhilah Utami Ilmi Rifai, Dharyanto Tito Wardani Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Wanita dan Keluarga https://journal.ugm.ac.id/v3/pswk/article/view/23666 Wed, 10 Dec 2025 10:34:06 +0700
