Lembaran Sejarah founded by Sartono Kartodirjo in 1967 as publication series to provide a reading materials for scholars on studying history and particularly Indonesian history. As a journal, Lembaran Sejarah first published in 1997 to maintain the tradition and disseminate studies on the development of Indonesian history and historiography to academics and publics. The journal is published by History Department Faculty of Cultural Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
