Journal History

Asia Pacific Family Medicine Journal (APFMJ) publishes subject-specific journals focused on the needs of individual research communities across all scientific medicine and public health. The journal was established by the WONCA World Family Doctors, Asia-Pacific Regional Organization: https://www.globalfamilydoctor.com/aboutwonca/regions/asiapacific.aspx.

Editorial decisions will be made on the basis of the interest of a study or its likely impact. Studies must be scientifically valid; for research articles this includes a scientifically sound research question, the use of suitable methods and analysis, and following community-agreed standards relevant to the research field.

The journal was previously published by Biomedcentral (BMC) and all archives up to December 2018 can be accessed via this link: https://apfmj.biomedcentral.com/. Started on June 2019, APFMJ will be published under Universitas Gadjah Mada online journal system: https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/apfmj . All APFMJ policies and guides for authors and reviewers remain the same, except now we apply FREE Article Processing Charge for the accepted manuscript.

For information regarding how to submit your manuscripts to this journal, authors should contact the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Yousuke Takemura, at yousuke.fmed@tmd.ac.jp  or our secretariate journal, at apfmj.fkkmk@ugm.ac.id.
