Abstract


Dalam kegiatan pelayanan praktikum pengendalian hama gudang, salah satu bahan yang harus tersedia adalah hama atau serangga uji. Ketersediaan hama sangat dipengaruhi oleh wadah simpan, tempat dan ketersediaan pakan serta suhu ruang simpan, serta aman dari hama pengganggu yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan hama koleksi sperti serangan semut dan tikus. Untuk menghindari kerusakan tersebut maka perlu tempat penyimpanan yang aman berupa lemari koleksi serangga . Pemanfaatan lemari inkubator bekas yang sudah tidak terpakai menjadi lemari pembiakan dan penyimpanan serangga uji merupakan solusi untuk mengatasi hal tersebut di atas. Suhu merupakan faktor yang sangat penting yang mempengaruhi metabolisme dan pertumbuhan serangga, maka pemasangan kipas sbagai penstabil suhu sangat di perlukan.

ABSTRACT

In warehouse pest control practicum service activities, one of the materials that must be available is a pest or test insect. The availability of pests is strongly influenced by the storage container, the place and availability of feed and the temperature of the storage room, as well as being safe from nuisance pests that can cause damage to collection pests such as ants and rats. To avoid this damage, it is necessary to have a safe storage area in the form of an insect collection cupboard. Utilization of used incubator cabinets that are not used as breeding cabinets and storage of test insects is a solution to overcome the problems mentioned above. Temperature is a very important factor that affects the metabolism and growth of insects, so the installation of a fan as a temperature stabilizer is very necessary.
