Focus and Scope

Jurnal Material Teknologi Proses(JMTP) adalah jurnal ilmiah akses terbuka yang didedikasikan untuk menyebarluaskan hasil penelitian berkualitas tinggi, inovasi teknologi, dan tinjauan literatur dalam bidang ilmu material dan teknik proses. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menjadi jembatan antara penelitian teoretis dan aplikasi praktis di industri, dengan penekanan khusus pada kemajuan teknologi yang berkelanjutan.

Ruang lingkup jurnal meliputi, namun tidak terbatas pada:

  • Ilmu Material: Karakterisasi material, logam dan paduan, keramik, polimer, material komposit, serta biomaterial.
  • Teknologi Proses: Teknik manufaktur, pemesinan, pengecoran, pengelasan, dan proses pembentukan logam.
  • Metalurgi: Ekstraksi logam, perlakuan panas, dan korosi material.
  • Inovasi Material Berkelanjutan: Pemanfaatan limbah industri untuk material baru dan teknologi proses ramah lingkungan (green manufacturing).
  • Simulasi dan Pemodelan: Pemodelan komputasi dalam struktur material dan optimasi proses produksi.

Kami mengundang para peneliti, akademisi, dan praktisi industri untuk berkontribusi dalam memajukan pemahaman global mengenai bagaimana material dan proses manufaktur dapat dikembangkan untuk masa depan yang lebih efisien.

Peer Review Process

Jurnal Material Teknologi Proses (JMTP) menerapkan kebijakan Double-Blind Peer Review untuk menjamin objektivitas dan kualitas ilmiah yang diterbitkan. Dalam sistem ini, identitas penulis dirahasiakan dari reviewer, dan identitas reviewer dirahasiakan dari penulis sepanjang proses evaluasi.

Tahapan proses peninjauan adalah sebagai berikut:

  • Initial Screening: Setiap naskah yang masuk akan diperiksa terlebih dahulu oleh Editor terkait kesesuaian dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal, serta kepatuhan terhadap panduan penulisan.
  • Plagiarism Check: Naskah akan diperiksa tingkat kemiripannya menggunakan perangkat lunak (seperti Turnitin atau iThenticate) dengan batas maksimal kemiripan 20%.
  • Peer Review: Naskah yang lolos tahap awal akan dikirimkan kepada setidaknya dua (2) Reviewer yang ahli di bidang terkait.
  • Kriteria Penilaian: Reviewer menilai naskah berdasarkan aspek kebaruan (novelty), kebenaran metodologi, signifikansi hasil penelitian, dan kualitas referensi yang digunakan.
  • Timeline: Proses peninjauan dari reviewer umumnya memakan waktu antara 4 hingga 8 minggu.
  • Keputusan Akhir: Keputusan untuk menerima, meminta revisi (minor/mayor), atau menolak naskah didasarkan pada rekomendasi reviewer dan diputuskan secara kolektif oleh Dewan Editor.

 

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Material Teknologi Proses (JMTP) diterbitkan secara berkala sebanyak dua (2) kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan Mei dan November.

Sistem Publikasi:

  • Artikel dipublikasikan secara kolektif sebagai bagian dari satu nomor isu dengan daftar isi yang lengkap.

  • Kami berkomitmen untuk mempertahankan jadwal penerbitan yang tepat waktu guna memberikan kepastian bagi para penulis dan pembaca.

  • Versi elektronik dari setiap artikel tersedia secara terbuka (Open Access) segera setelah proses produksi selesai.

 

Open Access Policy

Jurnal ini menyediakan akses terbuka langsung (Open Access) ke seluruh isinya dengan prinsip bahwa membuat hasil penelitian tersedia secara gratis untuk publik akan mendukung pertukaran pengetahuan global yang lebih luas.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Author Fee

The Article Processing Charge (APC) for authors is free (IDR 0,00)

 

Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

Setiap naskah yang dikirimkan ke Jurnal Material Teknologi Proses akan melalui proses pemeriksaan plagiarisme sebelum diproses lebih lanjut untuk peninjauan sejawat. Kebijakan kami adalah sebagai berikut:

  • Alat Pemeriksaan: Kami menggunakan perangkat lunak Turnitin atau iThenticate untuk mendeteksi tingkat kemiripan teks.

  • Batas Maksimal: Jurnal menetapkan batas maksimal indeks kemiripan (similarity index) sebesar 20%.

  • Tindakan: Jika ditemukan tingkat kemiripan di atas batas tersebut, editor akan meminta penulis untuk melakukan revisi atau menolak naskah tersebut secara langsung apabila ditemukan indikasi plagiarisme yang substansial.

  • Tanggung Jawab: Penulis bertanggung jawab penuh untuk memastikan bahwa karya yang dikirimkan adalah orisinal dan telah memberikan sitasi yang benar untuk setiap karya orang lain yang digunakan.

 

Reviewer Guidelines

To improve the quality of journal publications, we cordially invite experts to be the reviewer of Kemas journal. Your support and contribution would be valuable and constructive to our publication in ensuring the manuscripts published are of quality and high standard.

Qualifications:

  1. The potential reviewers must hold a Master or Doctoral degree
  2. The research field must conform to public health
  3. Have good experience as a reviewer in a scientific journal
  4. Have published article(s) in internationally reputable journals and been cited

In reviewing the manuscript, the reviewer should pay attention to the following:

Title
Is the title clear and appropriate for the study's purpose?

Abstract
The abstract presents the objects, methods, and outcomes clearly and concisely.

Introduction
The introduction should briefly provide:

  1. The background of the study should indicate a research gap to be fulfilled/ addressed
  2. The hypothesis development (if using a quantitative method) should be based on theoretical review and is expressed in a one-tailed direction (if it is possible).
  3. The literature review should provide the relevant theories to the research, and should guide and support understanding to answer the research question/s
  4. The objective of the study should be presented in a narrative with effective sentences.
  5. The originality of the work should be described

Method

  1. Sufficient information to provide recommendations or guidelines for further research is suggested to ease other researchers in replicating the research with the same result.
  2. The data analysis techniques employed should be elaborated.
  3. The method should thoroughly cover all procedures (Not only describing the definition of terms but also how to conduct the research).
  4. The study variables, the research subjects, the research instruments (their names, item numbers, and reliability coefficients) should be identified.
  5. The terminology is appropriate with the field of public health.

Result and Discussion

This section describes the outcome of the study. Use tables and figures if needed. The data presented should be processed (not raw data) and is presented in the form of a table or figure with a supportive description. Table, chart, or figure should explain the analyses. The results should be able to answer the research question and/or hypotheses.

  1. The author describes the implications of the research.
  2. The author describes the results of the study and provides an analysis on how they are related to previous or current literature? The author should give substantial meaning to the results of the analysis and compare them with findings of the relevant literature.
  3. The authors should address the strengths and limitations of their study. This section should not be a repetition of the results section.

Conclusion

  1. It presents the findings of the study as a synthesis of the results of the data analysis and the discussions; highlight new findings that contribute to the development of public health.
  2. The conclusion should be presented in effective sentences based on the results and discussions in the form of paragraphs (not in bullet or numbering);
  3. This section presents the main conclusions of the study.
