Author Guidelines

The author sends soft copies of draft manuscript articles to the editor of JSV can be via email, or by post delivery in the form of compact disc (CD) along with a copy of the draft of the article. Draft manuscript articles typed with Microsoft Word programs and images in a minimum JPEG format of 300 dpi. Images are arranged on separate sheets and given sequence numbers and captions. Tables are typed also on separate sheets, and are numbered along with table titles.

The script is typed 2 spaces (except abstract: 1 space) with Times New Roman font size font 12. Each maximal script consists of 6-20 pages of quarto size. The manuscripts are arranged according to JSV format in the following order:

A. Script of research results

1. Title:

Must be concise and informative, written in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Title no more than 20 words (10-20 words)

 2. Author's identity:

Contains the full name of the lead author and the author's member (not to be abbreviated) and has Arabic numerals in sequence for information about the lead author and members. The address of the primary authoring institution and the author's members are written complete and accompanied by e-mail addresses of all authors and/or telephone and fax numbers (if any).

3. Abstract

Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English consisting of a maximum of 250 words with a maximum of 5 keywords. The abstract is typed 1 space and consists of only one paragraph.

4. Preliminary

Contains background that contains the importance and purpose of the research, and the benefits of the research that has been done.

5. Materials and Methods

Written without subtitle material and method subtitle. Materials and equipment are described on behalf of the manufacturer, chemical name and trade name. The way the study is written briefly and accompanied by way of analysis.

6. Results and Discussion:

The results are described in sequence, detailed and clear. Discussion of research results is scientifically and rationally explained with the support of relevant literature and scientific references.

7. Conclusions

The conclusions of the research results are stated briefly, solidly and clearly.

8. Acknowledgments

Only listed for individuals and institutions or institutions that actually assist the implementation of research.

9. How to Cite:

Citation of references or references is done by writing down the name of the primary author and the year of publication. Use of connecting words for 2 authors with words and or and, and for 3 or more authors with et al. Or et al. Depending on the language of the original article used.

10. References

Sorted alphabetically without using serial number, journal name abbreviated in accordance with applicable international rules. The literature or reference year should be about the last 5-10 years. The book reference library is limited to a maximum of 20% of the total bibliography.

Manuscripts written at least 3 and a maximum of 7 pages are included Images and Tables

Preparation of manuscripts for: Title and Identity of author as same as requirement in point A (Script of research result).

Abstract: Consisting of at least 100 words and a maximum of 250 words

The composition of the manuscript includes: Abstract, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments and Daft


Submission Preparation Checklist

  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (USD)
This journal only charges the article publication fee for all manuscript types, without any submission fee.

Article Publication: 75.00 (USD)

The publication fee is US$ 300 for foreign authors and IDR 750.000,- for Indonesian authors. For each printed page that contains colored figure, you will be asked to pay US$ 14 (IDR 200.000,-) each printed page more.

When the accepted manuscript has been proofread by the authors, Jurnal Sain Veteriner office will send the invoice to the corresponding author and they need to complete the payment process before being published.
