Skrining Jamur Tanah Penghasil L-asparaginase dan Aktivitas Antibakterinya Terhadap Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus

Abstract


Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara beriklim tropis yang memiliki kelembaban tinggi sehingga memungkinkan untuk tumbuhnya berbagai tanaman dan mikroorganisme yang baik. Salah satu mikroorganisme yang dapat tumbuh dengan baik di Indonesia adalah jamur. Mikroorganisme ini merupakan produsen yang sangat baik dari enzim hidrolitik, biofuel, asam organik, polisakarida, dan metabolit sekunder yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai obat antibiotik, obat antikanker, agen hipokolesterolemia, imunosupresan, dan lain-lain. Sebanyak 12 jamur berhasil diisolasi dari tanah di Bantul, Merapi dan Gunung kidul. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa 7 isolat jamur menghasilkan enzim L-asparaginase yaitu PB1, PB2, PRB1, PB4, PB3, PRGK2 dan PGK1, sedangkan 4 isolat jamur menunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri dengan zona hambat terbesar adalah isolat jamur CM sebesar 4,649 mm terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan sebesar 13,681 mm terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli.
