Abstract

Osteoartritis (OA) merupakan salah satu bentuk penyakit artritis yang kerap ditemukan dan berdampak besar dalam masalah kesehatan di masyarakat. Informasi yang jelas dan lengkap dengan bahasa yang mudah dipahami dibutuhkan sebagai landasan dalam membangun program pengobatannya. Seiring dengan perkembangan media berbasis internet, leaflet digital dapat digunakan sebagai media pemberian informasi tersebut. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran pengetahuan masyarakat dan untuk mengetahui dampak pemberian leaflet digital terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan OA dan pengobatannya. Penelitian kuasi eksperimental dilakukan dengan desain pre-test dan post-test kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol yang melibatkan 91 peserta dari kalangan masyarakat umum di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada 14-28 Desember 2022. Pemberian leaflet digital dilakukan melalui aplikasi Whatsapp. Pengetahuan peserta terkait OA dan pengobatannya diukur menggunakan kuisioner. Rata-rata pengetahuan pre-test peserta (78,90±12,10) menunjukkan bahwa peserta sudah memiliki pengetahuan terkait OA dan pengobatannya. Rata-rata nilai post-test kelompok kontrol (83,19±12,44) lebih kecil dari kelompok perlakuan (87,39±12,59). Peningkatan nilai pengetahuan pada kelompok kontrol (3,40±12,11) juga lebih kecil dari kelompok perlakuan (8,98±10,76). Hasil uji Wilcoxon dan uji Mann-Whitney memperlihatkan pemberian leaflet digital dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan OA dan pengobatannya secara signifikan dalam kelompok perlakuan (p=0,000) tetapi peningkatan nilai pengetahuan kelompok kontrol tidak berbeda signifikan dengan perlakuan (p=0,052).
