Unsur Budaya dalam Leksikon Tataruncingan
Abstract
Bahasa dapat merefleksikan budaya kelompok masyarakat penuturnya. Bahasa juga berfungsi untuk menjaga dan mewariskan nilai-nilai budaya suatu kelompok etnis agar senantiasa lestari. Tatarucingan atau teka-teki merupakan salah satu produk bahasa yang menunjukkan identitas masyarakat Sunda yang menghargai kejenakaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan unsur-unsur budaya yang tercermin dari leksikon yang digunakan dalam tatarucingan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan data yang diperoleh dari buku Tatarucingan (Teka-teki Sunda). Temuan dari penelitian ini yaitu klasifikasi dan deskripsi leksikon, serta cerminan gejala kebudayaan yang muncul berdasarkan leksikon yang digunakan. Dari hasil penelitian tampak bahwa leksikon yang digunakan dalam tatarucingan mencerminkan unsur-unsur kebudayaan Sunda diantaranya: (1) mata pencaharian, (2) organisasi sosial, (3) ilmu pengetahuan, (4) teknologi, (5) bahasa, (6) kesenian, dan (7) religi.
