Submissions to The Indonesian Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (IJClinEpiC) should be through its online submission system.
The basic requirements for articles submitted to The Indonesian Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (IJClinEpiC) are:

1. Submissions must be original creations.
2. Must not have been previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere
3. Must have received approval from the relevant Ethics Committee.
4. For studies involving human subjects, signed informed consent from the subjects is required.

Human and animal rights
When conducting research involving human subjects, authors must ensure that their work complies with the World Medical Association's Declaration of Helsinki and the Uniform Requirements for manuscripts submitted to The Indonesian Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (IJClinEpiC). A statement confirming that informed consent was obtained should be included in the manuscript, and the privacy of human subjects must be protected at all times.

For animal experiments, compliance with the ARRIVE guidelines is necessary. Research should adhere to the UK Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, the EU Directive 2010/63/EU, or the NIH guide for the care and use of laboratory animals. The manuscript must explicitly state adherence to these guidelines.

Informed consent
Research involving patients or volunteers must secure approval from an ethics committee and documented informed consent, which should be clearly noted in the paper. Authors need to obtain necessary consents, permissions, and releases for publishing case details, personal information, or images of individuals involved. These written consents should be retained by the author, and upon request, copies or proof of such consents must be provided to The Indonesian Journal of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (IJClinEpiC). Additionally, unless explicit written permission is obtained from the patient or their next of kin, all personal details of any patients featured in the article or accompanying materials, such as illustrations and videos, must be anonymized prior to submission.

Referee suggestions
In the cover letter, authors should suggest names and addresses (including e-mail) of at least three experts in the field for evaluation of the article. The choice of referees will however remain with the editorial board.

Typescripts
Articles should be neatly typed (Times New Roman, 12), double-spaced in A4 format with 2.5 cm on all margins. Receipt of papers will be acknowledged. Authors will be informed of the referee's comments.

Article types
Three types of articles may be submitted: a) Original research article (maximum: 25 pages, 35 references); b) Review article (maximum: 40 pages, 100 references); c) Case Report article (maximum: 10 pages, 20 references)

Proofs and Reprints
Proofs of a manuscript will be sent to the author for approval prior to publication. Page proofs are considered to be the final version of the manuscript. With the exception of typographical or minor clerical errors, no changes will be made to the manuscript at the proof stage. Corrections should be returned to the Editor within one week.

Copyright
Authors hold the copyright without restrictions.
Authors retain publishing rights without restrictions.

Format

The manuscript format should adhere to the following structure:

a. Title and Authors
- The title should concisely reflect the article's content.
- The title page must include the full names and affiliations of all authors, identifying the corresponding author with contact details such as postal address, phone, fax, and email.

b. Abstract
- Provide an abstract of 200-300 words that uses straightforward language to outline the study's objectives, methodology, major findings, and conclusions. 
- Use standard nomenclature and avoid abbreviations.

c. Keywords
Include up to five keywords at the conclusion of the abstract to aid in indexing.

d. Introduction
It should clearly state the problem, review relevant literature, and describe the proposed solution or approach.

e. Materials and Methods
- Detail the methods sufficiently to allow replication of the experiments.
- Cite any previously published procedures and mention significant modifications.
- Declare whether ethical clearance was obtained for research involving human or animal subjects.
- Editors may request verification documents.

f. Results
- Present the results clearly and precisely, focusing on the original and significant findings.
- Illustrate these with figures or tables where necessary, keeping supplementary data to a minimum.
- Avoid including discussions or speculative interpretations in this section; these should be part of the Discussion.

g. Discussion
- Analyze the results in the context of existing knowledge, emphasizing new contributions.
- Clearly state any assumptions that underpin the conclusions.

h. Conclusions
Summarize the conclusions briefly at the document's end.

i. Acknowledgments
List any acknowledgments at the end of the manuscript before the references, citing technical help, financial support, and general advice.

j. Tables
Use tables sparingly, ensuring they are simple and self-explanatory, numbered consecutively with a heading and legend.

k. Figures
Number figures consecutively and prepare them using high-resolution formats like GIF, TIFF, JPEG, or PowerPoint. Ensure they are understandable without accompanying text, using appropriate symbols and legends. Graphs should provide new information and not duplicate what is shown in tables. Titles and detailed descriptions should be placed on a separate page.

l. References
Limit references mainly to works from the last ten years. References should be numbered consecutively as they appear in the text, identified by Arabic numerals used as superscripts. The same number is reused each time a reference is cited, irrespective of its previous position in the text. For example :

Authors must ensure the accuracy and completeness of their reference list. References should be arranged numerically (using the Vancouver citation style) at the manuscript's end, following the order in which they appear in the text. If a reference includes up to six authors, all names should be listed; for references with more than six authors, only the first three should be cited, followed by "et al." Abbreviations for journal names should conform to those used in the Index Medicus and the Index of Indonesian Learned Periodicals (PDIN 1974).
