Motivasi Kerja Pustakawan Berdasarkan Teori Hirarki Kebutuhan Abraham Maslow
Abstrak
Motivasi kerja pustakawan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi kerja pustakawan di Perpustakaan Bank Indonesia Solo dengan menggunakan Teori Hirarki Kebutuhan Abraham Maslow. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan, yang menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi dan wawancara. Informan penelitian ini yakni pustakawan Bank Indonesia Cabang Solo. Analisis data menggnakan Teori Hirarki Kebutuhan Abraham Maslow. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja pustakawan dipengaruhi oleh pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar, yaitu gaji yang memadai; kebutuhan keamanan yaitu lingkungan kerja yang nyaman; kebutuhan sosial yaitu program LENTERA (Learning Literacy on Friday), rangkuman berita, dan e-kliping; kebutuhan penghargaan, yaitu acara Forum Komunikasi Pustakawan Perpustakaan Bank Indonesia yang memberikan penghargaan kepada pustakawan teraktif serta perpustakaan yang terakreditasi; dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri, yaitu seminar online dari Perpustakaan Nasional dan Kantor Pusat Bank Indonesia, serta program "Limas Nusantara” yang memuat program harian perpustakaan.
