Strategi Efektif Program Literasi Informasi Perpustakaan Akademik
Abstrak
Program literasi informasi dirancang secara sistematis untuk membantu individu mengembangkan keterampilan dalam mencari, menilai, dan menggunakan informasi dengan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi efektif dalam program literasi informasi perpustakaan di lingkungan akademik. Menggunakan mixed-method sequential explanatory, penelitian ini diawali dengan pengumpulan data kuantitatif dari 72 pustakawan di berbagai universitas di Indonesia, yang kemudian diperdalam melalui wawancara kualitatif dengan pimpinan perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan program literasi informasi perpustakaan dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi pustakawan, ketersediaan program yang relevan, serta partisipasi aktif mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi pustakawan, perancangan program yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan mahasiswa, serta penguatan kerja sama antara perpustakaan dan fakultas guna meningkatkan efektivitas dan partisipasi dalam program literasi informasi di lingkungan akademik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pengembangan program literasi informasi yang strategis dan adaptif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan literasi informasi mahasiswa, mendukung pencapaian akademik, dan memperkuat peran perpustakaan sebagai pusat pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi.
