South-East Asian Journal of Advanced Law and Governance (SEAJ-ALGov) (E-ISSN: 3062-7907) is an academic journal that focuses on conceptual and/or empirical approaches in the fields of law and governance. We are interested in articles on the fields of public law and governance, which:

  • Examine a particular problem and solution of public law and/or governance in one of the ASEAN member countries to provide food for thought for that country and/or the ASEAN member states;
  • compare public law and governance studies between one particular ASEAN country and other jurisdictions outside ASEAN, or compare among ASEAN member states; or
  • provide public law and governance analysis on a particular country beyond ASEAN, but offer insight for law, governance, and society reform in a particular or several ASEAN countries.

"Public law" here refers to administrative law, constitutional law, human rights law, environmental law, agrarian law, and tax law. We will prioritize articles that take an interdisciplinary perspective, drawing on social science fields such as politics, public administration, public policy, and sociology.

The aims of SEAJ-ALGov are:

  1. To support scientific writing that is critical, progressive, and innovative which are beneficial for the public in general;
  2. To spread knowledge and to be one of the leading medium for law and governance scholars in SEA regions.
