Jurnal Rekayasa Proses (J. Rek. Pros.) is an Indonesian scientific journal published by Department of Chemical Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. The journal was initially published in printed version (p-issin 1978-287X). The first issue was published in June 2007 as Vol 1 No 1. In 2012, the online version (e-issn 2549-1490) was introduced and all issues before this year were uploaded in the system. Start from 2016, the online journal system has been used to manage J. Rek. Pros.

The focus of the journal is all topics related to the application of chemical engineering principles in process development, process optimization, and supporting aspects such as waste minimization and waste treatment. This journal publishes two issues annually in April and October (previously in June and December). Manuscripts can be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. 

The submission process of manuscript is open throughout the year. All submitted manuscripts will go through the double blind peer review and editorial process to reach the decision of acceptance for publication. Designed as a medium of information and scientific knowledge, J. Rek. Pros. publishes review articles and research articles in the area of kinetics and catalysis, separation and purification system, process system engineering, natural oil, gas and coal technology, particle technology, mineral processing, material and biomaterial, renewable resource engineering, biochemistry and bioprocess engineering, biomolecular engineering, energy, water, environment, and sustainability.

The current version of J.Rek.Pros. is the result of continuous improvement from the efforts of the previous management teams. Therefore our gratitude and highest appreciation is for the retired editor-in-chiefs of J. Rek. Pros.: Ir. Hary Sulistyo, SU., Ph.D (alm.) and Ir. Siti Syamsiah, Ph.D (almh.) and all the staffs, who have managed the publication of the journal from the first edition in 2007 until 2016.

• in 2026, Jurnal Rekayasa Proses is nationally accredited by the Directorate General of Research and Development of the Republic of Indonesia No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026 as SINTA 2 (2025–2029)
• in 2021, Jurnal Rekayasa Proses is nationally accredited by the Director General of Strengthening the Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 158/E/KPT/2021 as SINTA 2 (2021-2025).
• in 2018, Jurnal Rekayasa Proses is nationally accredited by the Director General of Strengthening the Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 30/E/KPT/2018 as SINTA 2 (2016-2021).
