Revitalisasi Ekonomi Masyarakat Petani Permakultur di Meratus: Menuju Kemandirian Pangan, Energi, dan Ekonomi Berbasis Lokal

Abstrak

Masyarakat Dayak di Pegunungan Meratus menghadapi berbagai tantangan struktural dalam sistem pertanian, antara lain penurunan produktivitas lahan, degradasi ekosistem, serta keterbatasan akses terhadap pasar dan teknologi yang berkembang saat ini. Praktik ladang berpindah dan pertanian konvensional yang selama ini diterapkan tidak lagi memadai secara ekologis maupun ekonomis, terutama dalam menghadapi perubahan kondisi lingkungan dan dinamika ekonomi pedesaan. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembangunan yang mampu mengintegrasikan aspek ekologi, sosial, dan efisiensi ekonomi secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merevitalisasi perekonomian masyarakat melalui penerapan pendekatan permakultur berbasis agroforestri. Pendekatan tersebut dirancang untuk memperkuat ketahanan ekosistem dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani dengan memanfaatkan keanekaragaman hayati yang ada, efisiensi sumber daya, serta hubungan saling menguntungkan antarjenis tanaman. Metode penelitian menggunakan participatory rural appraisal (PRA) melalui kegiatan pelatihan, pembangunan demplot, transfer pengetahuan, serta penguatan kelembagaan komunitas guna memastikan keberlanjutan program dan keterlibatan aktif masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan permakultur memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pendapatan petani hingga Rp135 juta per tahun, dengan kebutuhan biaya operasional sekitar Rp40 juta. Rasio efisiensi masukan dan luaran mencapai 2,02, sedangkan income multiplier tercatat sebesar Rp2,6 juta, yang menegaskan efektivitas pendekatan ini dalam menciptakan nilai tambah ekonomi yang sangat berdampak pada masyarakat. Secara sosial ekologis, program berhasil meningkatkan diversifikasi komoditas, memperkuat kemandirian pangan, dan mendukung konservasi lahan melalui teknik budidaya berkelanjutan. Selain itu, program berkontribusi pada ketahanan sosial melalui peningkatan partisipasi perempuan serta regenerasi sosial yang berbasis komunitas. Dengan demikian, pendekatan permakultur terbukti menjadi strategi unggul pembangunan berkelanjutan di wilayah adat Meratus dan layak direplikasi pada wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa di Indonesia.
