Pengaruh Tingkat Religiusitas, Pendidikan, dan Faktor Ekonomi terhadap Sikap Muslim Gen Z terhadap Fenomena Childfree
Abstract
This study quantitatively investigates how levels of religiosity, education, and economic factors influence the attitudes of Generation Z Muslims (aged 18 to 28 years) towards the childfree phenomenon. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through an online survey involving 103 respondents and subsequently analysed using multiple linear regression to test the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The results showed that the regression model had a high correlation (R=0.814; R^2=0.663), with indications that cognitive insights about childfree (β=0.279; p=0.002) and financial allocation considerations (β=0.283; p=0.008) significantly influence social acceptance of the childfree choice. Interestingly, normative religiosity, measured by worship intensity, did not show a significant influence in this model. This key finding indicates that Muslim Generation Z tends to evaluate the issue of childfree through rational cognitive and economic considerations, rather than solely based on religious-normative values. This study reflects a shift in values among Generation Z from a traditional orientation towards a more reflective and pragmatic way of thinking in defining the concepts of family, responsibility, and personal happiness.
Keywoards: childfree, economic factors, Generation Z, education, religiosity.
