Effective October 1, 2025, the Indonesian Journal of Biotechnology (IJBiotech) will only consider manuscripts in the fields of bioinformatics or computational research under the following conditions:

1. The manuscript includes wet lab experiments, or

2. In the absence of wet lab experiments, the study must demonstrate clear novelty.

Authors are required to explicitly declare the novelty of their work in the cover letter submitted with the manuscript.
