Jurnal Perikanan Universitas Gadjah Mada (JPUGM)

Jurnal Perikanan Universitas Gadjah Mada (JPUGM) an International Journal in Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences (ISSN 2502-5066) is a peer-reviewed and open access biannually (January-June and July-December) published by the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, which aims to promote critical and high-quality studies in the fields of aquatic and fisheries sciences. Our published work provides findings of interest to a worldwide readership of aquatic and fisheries sciences.

JPUGM only accepts high-quality original manuscripts written in English under three categories of papers; 1) original research articles, 2) short communications, and 3) review papers (Narrative Review, Systematic Literature Review, Meta-Analysis, Critical Review) on a broad range of topics in aquatic and fisheries sciences, including but not limited to fish and fisheries biology, fishery resources management, fisheries socio-economic, marine science, fishing technology, oceanography and limnology, water quality and pollution, aquatic microbiology and biotechnology, molecular genetics, aquaculture and aquaculture systems, fish genetics, fish health and aquatic diseases, fish nutrition and feeds, as well as the post-harvest handling and fisheries product technology.

All manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the online submission system (https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/jfs/user/register). Authors must complete a one-time registration before submission. The system allows authors to upload manuscripts by following article guidelines and track their review status. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by other journals will be accepted and published in the next available issue.

Jurnal Perikanan Universitas Gadjah Mada has been indexed in  Dimensions, Crossref, and others. Jurnal Perikanan Universitas Gadjah Mada is nationally accredited as SINTA 2 by the Director General of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 158/E/KPT/2021). Furthermore, Jurnal Perikanan Universitas Gadjah Mada also accepts selected manuscripts in collaboration with Semnaskan UGM (Seminar Nasional Tahunan Hasil Perikanan dan Kelautan) and ISMFR (International Symposium on Marine and Fisheries Research).
