PENYESUAIAN NOMINAL DAN PENYESUAIAN RIIL PERMINTAAN UANG DI INDONESIA

Abstract


Berbagai studi tentang permintaan uang menunjukkan bahwa metode
penyesuaian uang yang dipegang oleh masyarakat tidak bisa digeneralisasi.
Sebelum melakukan estimasi terhadap model permintaan uang pada suatu
masyarakat, maka uji mengenai metode penyesuaian jumlah uang yang diminta
harus dilakukan terlebih dahulu. Selain itu, uji ini juga dapat digunakan untuk
mendeteksl apakah masyarakat terkena ilusi uang. Paper ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat melakukan penyesuaian atas jumlah uang (m1 dan m3) yang dipegang berdaarkan metode penyesuaian nominal, sedangkan penyesuaian jumlah uang (m2) yang dipegang dilakukan
menurut metode rill. Model yang dipergunakan dalam pengujian ini adalah model
koreksi kesalahan (Error Correction Model).
