About Journal

Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business (JIEB), with registered number print ISSN 2085-8272; online ISSN 2338-5847, is a scientific, open access, peer-reviewed journal published three times a year (January, May, and September) by Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada whose objective is to publish original research papers related to the Indonesian economy and business issues. This journal is also dedicated to disseminating the published articles freely for international academicians, researchers, practitioners, regulators, and public societies.

The journal welcomes authors from any institutional backgrounds and accepts rigorous empirical research papers with any methods or approach that is relevant to the Indonesian economy and business context or content, as long as the research fits one of three salient disciplines: economics, business, or accounting. 

The JIEB is Internationally indexed in SCOPUS Q3, EconLit, ProQuest, Google Scholar, DOAJ, Microsoft Academic Search, and ACI (ASEAN Citation Index). Furthermore, this journal has been nationally accredited by the Directorate-General for Research Strengthening and Development, the Ministry of Research and Technology for Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 148/M/KPT/2020) in SINTA 1 (Indonesian Science & Technology Index).

Announcement of New Submission Fee and Article Processing Charge (APC) in 2026

The Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business (JIEB) would like to inform you about an important update regarding our publication process.

Starting from the 1st  January  2026, JIEB will implement submission fee and Article Processing Charge (APC) for new submission

  • Submission Fee: USD 50.00 (IDR 500,000) (Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs)
  • Article Processing Charge (APC): USD 250.00 (IDR 3,500,000) (If the paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publication costs)

The implementation of this fee is essential to support high-quality editorial and publishing processes, maintain the integrity and visibility of our open-access content, and ensure free and immediate access for readers worldwide.

Details on the payment methods and how to transfer these fees will be announced shortly.
