Abstract

Background: Mental health of college students is an important aspect to be addressed by institutions, one of which is by providing facilities that are accessible to students to monitor and improve their mental health. One facility that can be provided is the development of a mobile application that offers Psychological Services.

Methods: This research involves three phases: analysis requirements, user interface (UI) development, and user interface evaluation. The user interface is designed following the official color guidelines of the institution and ensuring the harmony of its components. The Psychological Services Module consists of sub-menus accessible to users, such as mental health screening based on SRQ-20 (Self Report Questionnaire) and its results, scheduling counseling appointments, simple tips for maintaining mental health, and information about activities that support students' mental health.

Results: In evaluating the user interface (UI), this research employed the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), comprising 26 statement items across six aspects. Across the dimensions of attractiveness, effectiveness, dependability, and stimulation, results fell within the "Good" category, whereas in terms of perspicuity and novelty, results were classified as "Above Average."

Conclusions: The user interface created for the Psychology Service Module generally performs well when assessed according to the UEQ instrument. However, improvements and further development of the user interface are still necessary to align with user needs, thereby enhancing both usage and the benefits derived from the application.
