Author Guidelines

  1. Paper Organization
    1. Introduction

  2. Title
    1. The title should clearly reflect the main methods and key findings or highlight the novelty of the research.
    2. It must be specific and informative, capturing the core contribution of the article.
    3. The first letter of each word in the title is capitalized in Times New Roman 16 pt.
  3. Author’s Detail
    1. Author names without titles are written below the paper’s title, in order of author.
    2. Each author's name is marked with a superscript number.
    3. Affiliate names begin with a superscript number.
    4. Include name of the department/unit and institution.
    5. The author's email is written next to the affiliation.
    6. Use Times New Roman 11 pt.
  4. Abstract and Keywords
    1. Written in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
    2. Summarize background, gap, method, results, implications, and contribution.
    3. Understandable to a broad audience.
    4. Max 250 words.
    5. Times New Roman 9 pt.
  5. Introduction
    1. Begin with a general overview.
    2. State research focus:
      • Research objectives and significance
      • State of the art with references
      • Identified research gap
      • Novelty and unique contribution
    3. Explain difference from previous work.
    4. Ensure logical flow.
  6. Methodology
    1. Describe the research design, steps taken, and methods used.
    2. Provide sufficient detail for reproducibility and transparency.
    3. Emphasize how the methods support research objectives and future replication.
  7. Results and Discussion
    1. Present results clearly and concisely with supporting tables/figures/graphs.
    2. In the discussion:
      • Explain why results emerged and their relation to existing literature.
      • Highlight significance and implications of findings.
      • Discuss limitations and their potential impact on interpretation.
      • Integrate references to contextualize findings.
      • Explain the process behind results in detail.
  8. Conclusion
    1. Provide a cohesive summary of the research problem, approach, and key results.
    2. Ensure alignment with stated objectives and summarize findings in narrative format.
    3. Highlight the broader implications of the work.
    4. Optionally, include suggestions for future research or identify remaining open problems.
  9. Figure, Table, and Equation
    1. Figures have a maximum width of 8 cm, with captions centered below.
    2. The table header is bold, and it uses three horizontal lines. Caption is placed above the table and centered.
    3. If figures/tables are wider than the column, use one column and place them at the top or bottom of the page.
    4. All figures and tables must be cited in the main text, placed as close as possible to the referring paragraphs.
    5. All equations are center-aligned and followed by serial numbers, e.g., (1), (2).
    6. Refer to equations as “(1)” instead of “Equation (1)” unless at the beginning of a sentence.
  10. Reference
    1. Each submission must include at least 15 references.
    2. At least 80% of references must be from primary sources (journal articles, conference papers, theses, dissertations).
    3. At least 80% of references must be recent (published within the last 10 years).
    4. Use IEEE reference style. References must be numbered in the order they appear, e.g., [1], [2,3], or [4–6].
    5. Refer to references by number, e.g., “in [3]”, not “Ref. [3]” except at the beginning of a sentence.
    6. It’s highly recommended to use Mendeley Reference Management Software.
  11. General Rule
    1. Articles should contain at least 5 pages written in English.
    2. Section titles are capitalized and in Times New Roman 10 pt.
    3. Paragraphs use Times New Roman 10 pt, with the first sentence indented 0.5 cm.
    4. Foreign terms are written in italics, including the paper’s title.
    5. Numeric words should be written as numbers except at the start of sentences or integers under ten.
  12. Editorial Process
    1. Each submitted paper undergoes peer review for quality and relevance.
    2. Authors may need to revise their papers based on reviewer feedback before final acceptance.
    3. The editorial team ensures all necessary corrections and revisions are made before publication.
    4. Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest during submission.
    5. The editorial board reserves the right to reject papers that do not meet the journal’s standards.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscript is written in English and has been proofread.
  2. The manuscript is an original work, has not been previously published, and is not under review by another journal.
  3. The manuscript file is submitted in a format compatible with Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
  4. The manuscript follows the journal's template and the author guidelines, including structure, citation style, writing format, and reference formatting.

  5. All figures, tables, and graphics are numbered, titled, captioned, and are of sufficient resolution and quality for publication.
 

Copyright Notice

  1. The editorial board of Jurnal Listrik, Instrumentasi, dan Elektronika Terapan holds the publication rights for all manuscript materials published on the journal’s website. Authors retain their moral rights; however, as part of the publication process, they are required to complete and submit a Copyright Transfer Agreement form, through which the copyright is transferred to the journal's editorial team with the author’s knowledge.

  2. This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows reusers to copy and distribute the material in any medium or format in unadapted form only, for noncommercial purposes only, and only as long as proper attribution is given to the creator.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

 

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Fast-Track Review: 300000.00 (IDR)
With the payment of this fee, the review, first editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.

Publication Fee: 1250000.00 (IDR)

Starting January 1, 2026, authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication in Jurnal Listrik, Instrumentasi, dan Elektronika will be required to pay an Article Publication Charge (APC) to help cover publication expenses.

Jurnal Listrik, Instrumentasi, dan Elektronika charges an Article Publication Charge (APC) of IDR 675,000 for manuscripts co-authored by Indonesian and non-Indonesian affiliations. A full APC waiver is granted if all listed authors are affiliated with institutions outside of Indonesia.
