We are pleased to announce the 1st edition/2nd edition on call for paper of South-East Asian Journal of Advanced Law and Governance (SEAJ ALGov). It is a double blind peer-reviewed journal published by Administrative Law Department and other related public law departments of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Read more about Call for PaperWelcome to the first issue of the South East Asian Journal of Advanced Law and Governance (SEAJ ALGOV). This journal aims to be a prominent medium of discussion among scholars in the region to discuss Law and Governance in broader contexts.
As can be seen, the discussions provided in this issue are about Law and Technology, Law and Politics, and Law and Human Rights. This issue also embraces the debate on challenges or obstacles faced by the administration and the judiciary in contemporary situations such as COVID-19 or legal policy driven by the various vested interests, i.e. emphasising effectiveness but reducing the carefulness and legal certainty.
Most of the objects discussed in the current issue are concentrated in Indonesia. Nonetheless, it is believed that in the shortcoming period, this journal will receive articles discussing other countries in the region. We therefore again invite the readers to submit their articles to the future issue at SEAJ ALGOV.

SEAJ ALGov is an academic journal that focuses on conceptual and/or empirical approaches in the fields of law and governance. The theme for the first edition is the “Dynamics of Law and Governance in Contemporary Situation”.
We welcome articles on administrative law, constitutional law, environmental law, land law, tax law, public administration, public policy, or any substance related to law and governance. We are particularly interested in comparative law approach (i.e. nexus between national laws in SEA region(s), national law and international law, or issue on national law which provide lesson learned to other SEA jurisdictions or even beyond. We also welcome articles that combine legal with non-legal aspects in their analysis.
The aims of SEAJ ALGov are:
1. To support scientific writing that is critical, progressive, and innovative which are beneficial for the public in general;
2. To spread knowledge and to be one of the leading medium for law and governance scholars in SEA regions.
