Abstract


The meaning of a religion and how to be religious in every
society lead to different implication. Japanese define religion
differently from Indonesian. The New Religions of the Japanese
propose new concepts of easy living, practical, optimism and say,
worldly and master of their own destiny. To embrace, religion
means to take advantage from them. Where as the Indonesian
understand religion as  private property with a lot of duties that
believers should follow sincerely.
