Jurnal Filsafat (JF) is a scientific journal that was first published in 1990 by the Faculty of Philosophy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, as a forum for scientific communication, the development of philosophical thinking, and research in philosophy. The primary criterion for publication in Jurnal Filsafat is the significance of their contribution to philosophical literature and the rigor of analysis and presentation. As per January 2023, we only accept manuscripts that are written in English.
Jurnal Filsafat is published twice a year, in February and August with ISSN: 0853-1870 (print), and ISSN 2528-6811 (online). The entire editorial workflow in Jurnal Filsafat is performed using the Open Journal System (OJS) 2 which is an open-source journal management.
On March 21, 2025, the Jurnal Filsafat was re-accredited SINTA 2 according to the Surat Keputusan Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia (No.0173/C3/DT.05.00/2025). This accreditation status is valid from Volume 35 Number 1 of 2025 to Volume 38 Number 2 of 2028.
In 2024, Jurnal Filsafat has started research, development, and publication collaboration with several professional associations, namely Himpunan Dosen Etika Seluruh Indonesia (HIDESI) and Asosiasi Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam (ASAFI).
Since November 2025, Jurnal Filsafat has been a member of the Asian Journal Network (AJN) to connect editors, academics, and author collaboratively in issues related to humanities and social sciences. We hope to extend our potential with several other collaborators in the near future.
Jurnal Filsafat have been indexed on : DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journal) Crossref, Sinta (Science and Technology Index), Indonesian Publication Index (IPI), Google Scholar, Indonesia One Search
