Aims of the Journal

LEXA (Legal Exploration on Advanced Law), formerly known as the ALSA Legal Reform Journal (ARJUNA), aims to be a credible, double-blind peer-reviewed platform for legal scholarship, providing law students and scholars with a rigorous venue to publish original research on advanced and emerging legal issues.

Initiated by the Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA) Local Chapter Fakultas Hukum Universitas Gadjah Mada, the journal is now officially managed and published by the Unit Riset dan Publikasi (URP), Fakultas Hukum, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

The journal is committed to advancing legal discourse across advanced law, specifically focusing on the intersection of Technology Law and Digital Transformation.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published in LEXA are freely accessible online with no subscription fees.

Peer Review Policy

LEXA employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process, in which both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated by at least two qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject matter.

The editorial board makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the reviewers' reports. The review process typically takes 4-8 weeks from the date of submission.

Sponsorship Disclosure

LEXA (Legal Exploration on Advanced Law) is now officially published by the Unit Riset dan Publikasi (URP), Fakultas Hukum, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and affiliated with the Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA) Local Chapter Universitas Gadjah Mada. The journal does not accept financial support from commercial sponsors. All editorial decisions are made independently.

History of the Journal

Legal Exploration on Advanced Law (LEXA) is a double-blind peer-reviewed law journal now officially managed and published by the Unit Riset dan Publikasi (URP), Fakultas Hukum, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and initiated by the Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA) Local Chapter Universitas Gadjah Mada. This journal is periodically published twice a year in May and November.

Formerly known as ARJUNA, LEXA is the rebranded continuation of ALSA LC UGM's initiated legal journal. While carrying a renewed identity, LEXA continues ARJUNA's commitment to providing a credible platform for legal scholarship with a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, now operating under the institutional support of URP FH UGM alongside the ongoing dedication of ALSA LC UGM.
