ABOUT THE JOURNAL
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Legal Issues (JILI) is an academic journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality conceptual and research-based articles in the field of law. The journal welcomes scholarly works employing both normative and empirical approaches, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives in understanding legal issues.
Established in 2023 under the authority of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, JILI is managed within the framework of the Magister of Law and Unit Riset & Publikasi (URP). The URP serves as an institutional platform that facilitates academic research and publication activities for students and scholars at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. Through this institutional support, JILI aims to cultivate a strong research culture and enhance the quality of legal scholarship.
The aims of The Journal of Interdisciplinary Legal Issues (JILI) are to:

- Expand legal knowledge while enhancing scientific writing competence among emerging and established scholars;
- Promote and develop interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary legal research that bridges law with other academic fields.
By integrating diverse methodological approaches and perspectives, JILI seeks to position itself as a dynamic academic platform that responds to evolving legal issues.
