Dari Entek Amek ke Entek Golek: Perempuan dan Perubahan di Gunungkidul
Abstract
Artikel ini menggambarkan bagaimana peminggiran perempuan terjadi akibat modernisasi yang menyentuh Dusun Wintaos, Gunungkidul. Peminggiran yang membuat perempuan menjadi sekunder dalam mengakses kesempatan kerja baru. Modernisasi dan kemudahan akses transportasi, komunikasi dan pendidikan mendorong usia produktif, terutama laki-laki, meninggalkan pertanian demi mengejar pendapatan cepat dan ajeg melalui kerja-kerja off/non-farm. Dibandingkan perempuan, laki-laki lebih mudah mengakses pekerjaan non/off farm. Pekerjaan off/non-farm membuat laki-laki meninggalkan pertanian sehingga relasi kolaborasinya dengan perempuan dalam pertanian pecah. Perempuan menanggung kekurangan tenaga kerja pada kegiatan budi daya tani. Akibatnya, perempuan tertinggal dan menjadi pelaku utama budi daya tani entek amek. Perubahan ini tercermin dari bergesernya sistem nilai yang dianut, dimana “entek golek” ((jika) habis mencari) meninggalkan “entek amek” ((jika) habis (bisa) memetik).
