Announcement: Article Processing Charge for Berkala Ilmiah Biologi Starting Vol. 17 No. 1 (2026)
Starting from the publication of Vol. 17 No. 1 in 2026, Berkala Ilmiah Biologi will implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) or publication fee policy.
In previous years, authors were not charged any fees (publication was free of charge). Beginning in 2026, a publication fee will be applied only after the manuscript is officially accepted for publication.
The manuscript evaluation process consists of two stages:
1. Initial evaluation by the editor, where the author receives an initial decision (accepted for review or rejected).
2. External double-blind peer review, where the author receives the final decision (accepted or rejected).
If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author is required to pay the following fee:
Article Publication Charge: IDR 500,000 (≈ USD 30)
This fee serves as a contribution to the publication process, including copyediting, layout, and online hosting.
If the manuscript is not accepted for publication, no fee is charged at any stage.
