Buletin Peternakan (Bulletin of Animal Science) with registered number  ISSN 0126-4400 (print) ISSN 2407-876X (online) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada jointly with  ISSTAP (Indonesian Society for Sustainable Tropical Animal Production). Buletin Peternakan is accredited as a SINTA 1 scientific journal by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia under Decree No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026, valid for the accreditation period 2025–2029 (until May 2029), and is indexed in Scopus. Buletin Peternakan (Bulletin of Animal Science) publish original research article related to livestock science. Articles report study about livestock involving beef cattle, dairy cattle, poultry, pigs, goat, sheep, bee, and companion animals. In addition, research can also involve wildlife species and laboratory animal species that address fundamental questions related to livestock and companion animal biology will also be considered for publication. Buletin Peternakan encompasses a broad range of research topics in animal sciences: Animal Nutrition, Animal Feed Technology, Animal Breeding and Genetics, Animal Reproduction and Physiology, Animal Biotechnology, Animal Products, Animal production, behavior, and welfare, Environment and Waste Management, Livestock Socio-Economic and Policy. Buletin Peternakan (Bulletin of Animal Science) is published every three months (February, May, August, November).
