Screening for Plagiarism

Plagiarism screening will be conducted using  iThenticate online plagiarism detection software. If the screening finds similarity index up to 20% or more, the author should rewrite the entire manuscript. The editor has the right to reject and replace the manuscript if the author does not abide with the regulation within a given time limit (a month) after the manuscript has been returned for revising.

Digital Archiving

Buletin Psikologi is dedicated to ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of academic research. To enhance accessibility, we convert and update digital file formats to meet the latest technological standards. We collaborate with various organizations and also maintain our own digital archive.

Buletin Psikologi’s Abstracting/Indexing services retain crucial information about the articles. Additionally, two of these services archive not only the article metadata but also the electronic versions, making them accessible to the scientific community through their systems as an alternative to the journal’s own.

All published articles receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) via CrossRef. Buletin Psikologi ensures long-term digital preservation by depositing publications in multiple digital archives globally. All articles are indexed in DOAJ and Google Scholar, and are permanently archived in HTML and PDF formats. The journal also makes article metadata available according to Open Archives Initiative protocols, allowing automated harvesting for inclusion in other digital archives.

Conflict of Interest

Buletin Psikologi respects requests not to have the manuscripts peer-reviewed by those experts who may have a competing interest with the author(s) of a submitted manuscript. It is not possible for Editors to be aware of all competing interests; we therefore expect that reviewers would inform the Editor-in-Chief if they notice any potential competing interest during the course of review of a manuscript. Moreover, the reviewers are expected to inform the Editors or editorial office of the journal if they have a conflict of interest in carrying out a review of a manuscript submitted by any author/contributor of the manuscript.

Double-blind Peer Review

Peer-review. All manuscripts that pass the initial screening stage, will be distributed to two experts in the relevant field to undergo a double-blind peer-review.

AI Usage Policy

The editorial board of the Gadjah Mada Journal of Professional Psychology (GamaJPP) affirms that its guidelines concerning the use of generative artificial intelligence in academic and scientific writing are firmly aligned with the ethical standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors are required to transparently disclose any use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools during the writing process. Such disclosures should be included in the Declarations section of the manuscript, clearly stating the nature and scope of tasks performed with AI assistance.

The use of AI for basic language-related improvements—such as correcting grammar, spelling, enhancing readability, or refining writing style—does not need to be reported, provided that these tools are not used to generate original content. While AI may assist in polishing the manuscript, full responsibility for the content’s accuracy, originality, and integrity remains with the human authors.

This journal employs available tools to detect the use of generative AI in submitted manuscripts. If improper or undeclared AI usage is identified, the editorial team will contact the authors, and the manuscript may be rejected as a result.

Maintaining ethical standards in scholarly publishing is essential. Therefore, all contributors are expected to follow these guidelines to uphold transparency and academic integrity. Any violation of this policy may result in the withdrawal of the manuscript, in accordance with the publisher’s procedures and the ethical standards outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

For further information, authors are encouraged to consult COPE’s official guidance on Authorship and AI tools.
