Dr. Adnan is a senior lecturer and the Convener of the Indonesian Studies Program, School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Education, University of New England. Previously, he had taught ESL at the Galang Refugee Camp under the auspices of the Save the Children and Experiment in International Living. After completing his S1 in EFL in Indonesia, he completed his MA at Melbourne University and PhD at Curtin University, Australia, both in Applied Linguistics/Language Education. His research interest includes genre analysis, critical discourse analysis, language teaching methodology and Second Language Acquisition. He has published widely nationally and internationally including refereed articles, book chapters and books.
