The third publication of the ASEAN Journal of Disaster Health Management (AJDHM) continues its mission to advance the field of disaster health management by presenting scholarly works that address critical aspects of preparedness, response, and health system resilience. This issue brings together contributions from researchers and practitioners that reflect the complex realities of managing health emergencies and disaster responses across diverse operational settings in the region.
The articles featured in this publication examine a range of important topics, including the evaluation of hybrid emergency medical team training and its operational impact during an earthquake relief mission, radiation safety management in industrial radiography training, and the operationalization of a district-level health emergency operation center during a volcanic eruption response. Additional studies explore hospital preparedness through a simulation-based assessment of meal delivery during elevator outages and present field lessons from the deployment of portable ultrasound to support disaster-affected highland communities in Aceh. Collectively, these contributions provide valuable insights that support the advancement of evidence-informed practices and strengthen disaster health management in the region.
