    Invitation to Participate in the 14th UGM Public Health Symposium (PHS)
    14–15 May 2025 | Hybrid Event

    Dear Colleagues and Students,

    We are pleased to invite you to attend and participate in the 14th UGM Public Health Symposium (UGM-PHS), which will be held on 14–15 May 2025 as a hybrid event. This biannual symposium is hosted by the Public Health Master Program, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and brings together public health professionals, academics, and students to share knowledge, research findings, and experiences in the field of public health. The theme of this year’s symposium, “Strengthening Ethical Integrity in Public Health Programs and Research”, aims to foster critical discussions on ethical principles, challenges, and considerations in both public health research and practice.

    The symposium features the following key sessions:

    DAY 1 – Wednesday, 14 May 2025
    Oral and Poster Presentations
    This session is dedicated to master's students, practitioners, and researchers in public health who present their policy papers, case reports, position papers, public health program implementation, or research in public health. Presentations will be held in parallel sessions throughout the day.

    DAY 2 – Thursday, 15 May 2025

    • 09.00–10.15 | Selected Oral Presentations (Panel Session)

    • 10.30–12.00 | Research Updates
      Open to faculty members and doctoral students, this session highlights recent advances and ongoing research in public health.

    • 13.00–14.30 | Public Health Ethics Seminar
      This seminar will discuss ethical issues in public health research and practice, aiming to strengthen public health ethics perspectives among scholars and practitioners.

      • Prof. Angus Dawson – National University of Singapore
      • Dr. Ahmed Abd El Wahid – Leipzig University, Germany
      • Dr. Riris Andono Ahmad – Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia
      • Dr. Daniel Strachan – The University of Melbourne, Australia

    We welcome your participation as a presenter or attendee. All sessions will be conducted in a hybrid format to ensure broader access and engagement.

    ##### Guide to abstract writing:
    The 13th UGM Public Health Symposium only accepts abstracts via *OJS BKM FK-KMK UGM*
    1. Abstracts should be written in Indonesian or English.
    2. Up to 300 words (minimum 250 words).
    3. Title a maximum of 25 words
    4. Papers can be a case report, policy and practice, perspective (position paper), and original research.
    - Case report type or policy in practice abstracts format: Objective, Content (people-specific focus, if any, implementation activities, lessons learned)
    - Original research format: Objective, Method, Results, Discussion, and Suggestion/Conclusion
    5. Selected abstracts will be announced within two weeks after the submission.
