Berita Kedokteran Masyarakat [ISSN 0215-1936 (Print) and ISSN 2614-8412 (Online)] is a scientific journal in the field of Public Health, published by the Master Program in Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FKKMK) Gadjah Mada University in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Community Medicine and Public Health (PDK3MI), Minister of Information of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1143 / SK / Ditjen.PPG / STT / 1987.

Established in 1985, BKM was initially published every four months. Since Volume 32 in 2016, BKM has been published monthly, with 12 issues per year. BKM is a nationally accredited scientific journal and is currently accredited at Sinta 3 for the 2025–2030 accreditation period (Sinta 3). In 2026, BKM is undergoing re-accreditation to advance its national accreditation status while pursuing continuous improvements in editorial management, publication quality, and internationalization toward inclusion in Scopus.
