Humaniora

Humaniora is an academic, open access, and peer-reviewed journal founded and first published in 1989 by the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Focusing on the study of culture as it is viewed from the Indonesian perspective, Humaniora provides a platform for the presentation, analysis, and criticism of provocative works and publishes articles that transcend disciplines and advance the study of humanities.

Starting from 2022 on, the issues are published twice per year whose all articles have been published exclusively in English. Submissions are open year-around. However, before submitting an article, please ensure that the article fits into Humaniora's focus and scope, is written in English and follows our author guidelines. We have extended the registration deadline for our workshop, 'Navigating Academic Publishing in the Humanities and Social Sciences! In this workshop, you will gain valuable session to hone your writing skills for research paper. This workshop is suitable for postgraduate students (Master's and PhD), lecturers, and researchers

Our focus and scope are divided into three categories.
1. Culture, Society, and Everyday Life
2. Heritage, Tourism, and Material Worlds
3. Media, Art, and Representation
