We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for Arnawa Vol. 4 No. 1 (June 2026).

Arnawa is a peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to philological, literary, linguistic, and cultural studies of local textual traditions across the Indonesian archipelago. While the journal primarily focuses on Javanese sources, we also welcome research on Balinese, Sundanese, Buginese, and other regional traditions within the broader Nusantara.

📘 Scope of Topics
We invite original and interdisciplinary submissions in areas including (but not limited to):

- Philology and textual criticism
- Manuscript and inscription studies
- Oral literature and performance traditions
- Historical and comparative linguistics of local languages
- Literary heritage from classical to modern periods
- Cultural hermeneutics and local epistemologies of Nusantara
